The Humboldt Beacon welcomes original letters to the editor (no form letters) about Humboldt County events and issues. They can be submitted type-written or hand-written, by fax or e-mail. Mailed letters must be signed.

*To be considered for publication, letters must be 350 words or fewer and must include the writer's true name, with residence address and telephone number for verification. Only the name and hometown will be printed.
*Letters must carry the full, legible name of the writer. All letters are subject to editing for clarity and length at the discretion of the editor. To give everybody an opportunity to participate, writers are limited to one letter every 30 days.
*Letters addressed to specific parties rather than all Humboldt Beacon readers, letters from other publications, form letters that do not contain original writing content by the signatory and personal complaints outside the public domain are not published.
