With Kyle Matyshock on the mound and the score tied at 2-2, things looked promising for the Ferndale Wildcats as they took on the St. Bernard's Crusaders in league play last Saturday in Eureka. It didn't work out as multiple errors by the Cats and home field advantage for the Crusaders equated to a double header sweep for St. Bernards. Andrew Matyshock waited on a throw from his outfielder as runner, St. Bernard's Eli Adams bore down on 2nd base. Matyshock made the out but the Cats did not come up with a win as the Crusaders swept the double header, 11-5 and 10-4. The teams will meet again on Ferndale soil, May 10, as the regular season winds down.
