Pitcher Ruben Rios showed a fine effort for five plus innings when the Huskies hosted the Eureka Loggers last Saturday in Fortuna. The game was tied at one apeice through five innings but the Loggers finally broke open the contest and won going away, 8-2. Third baseman, Ryan Hudson made a nice play on a grounder and threw to teammate Bruce Shiba for the force out at 2nd base. The Huskies played well in the early innings of both games of a double header versus the Eureka Loggers but saw things slip away late in a Logger sweep on Saturday.
