Marshawn Lynch’s phone is about to blow up.
In a quote tweet from the Skittles Twitter account referencing an upcoming commercial that will be aired during the upcoming Super Bowl, Lynch tweeted out what appears to be his personal phone number to the public.
The Skittles commercial states that only one person in the world, a man named Marcos Menendez, will get to actually watch the Super Bowl commercial, while the rest of the viewers will only get to watch Menendez as he watches the ad. Lynch tweets his number to Menendez hoping that he can share the commercial with him.
Twitter soon blew up after getting word of the tweet Lynch sent out.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts calling the number due to a busy line, our call finally got through. It leads straight to a voicemail of Lynch talking about the commercial.
Here’s the full message:
“What’s happening? This Marshawn, leave it after the beep. Marcos, this you? I still want to see that Super Bowl Skittles ad. Why are you the only one that gets to see it? I thought I was the Skittles guy.”
It appears this is all part of a campaign by Skittles to drum up some interest and not actually a case of Lynch accidentally releasing his number.
