Dear Editor:

The Humboldt Community Breast Health Project is grateful for the tremendous community support for our 7th Annual Benefit Vacation Raffle. From individual ticket sellers to the many businesses who donated as sponsors and displayed posters, we thank you. We also thank those individuals who have purchased tickets and supported our organization.

The four winners of a vacation are Karen Nessler (France), Emily Hobelmann (Kauai), Tami Matsumoto (Mexico), and Ellen Clague (Carlotta). This year we raised over $80,000 from the raffle which will continue to sustain our mission of providing breast and gynecologic cancer support services and breast health education free of charge to community members.

A big thanks to the destination donors: Chateau du Vertbosc - Michel Allard; North Country Farms - Lee Roversi; Casita Salate - Marcie & Mike Cavanaugh; and Tree Bear's Inn - Mary Beth Wolford.

Also, we are so appreciative of the sponsors who underwrite the raffle: St Joseph Health System, Bear River Casino, Eureka Carpet One, Graystone Jewelers, Lima's Professional Pharmacy, Wildberries Marketplace, Blue Lake Garbage, Brandi Easter Photography, Bucksport Sporting Goods, Carlson Wireless Technologies, Hospice of Humboldt, Tomas Jewelry, Wing Inflatables and the media sponsors; Lost Coast Communications and Bicoastal Media.

We also wish to thank the businesses who allowed us to set up tables and sell raffle tickets: Ciara's Irish Shop, Pierson's Building Supply, The Discovery Shop, Arcata Exchange, Plaza Design, and North Coast Grower's Association. It is very heart-warming to be part of such a generous community.
