Coho recovery subject of radio program

Humboldt Beacon

Tune in to KMUD on Thursday, July 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. for the next Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour. This show will focus on the Mattole Coho Recovery Strategy--the work being done by Mattole-based conservation groups to save native coho from the threat of extinction. The show will also explore the Mattole River and Range Partnership, the formal partnership that now exists between Sanctuary Forest, the Mattole Restoration Council, and the Mattole Salmon Group.

These three organizations have been working collaboratively with eachother and the Mattole community for more than two decades, and formalized this partnership in recent years in order to better address watershed-wide challenges. Noah Levy, Co-Director of Sanctuary Forest, will host this radio hour, joined by guests Keytra Meyer, Director of the Mattole Salmon Group, and Jeremy Wheeler, Director of the Mattole Restoration Council.
