The FGC provided the funding for the hardscape path and received placement labor by the city of Fortuna. That same help was provided after the club purchased the wood and materials needed to create the arbor placed at the end of the hardscape pathway.
The club wanted to do more and reached out to the McLean Foundation, which provided grant funding to accent the arbor with metal sculpturing.
Byran McWaters of Mad Metals provided the intricate leaf detailed recycled metal work that was added to the arbor. McWaters can be reached at 725-0690 or at email@example.com. McWaters was also one of the artists who created the new welcome to Fortuna sign at the Kenmar entrance.
The Fortuna Monday Club will be finishing off this project with some landscaping in the near future. The additional landscaping will provide the opportunity for outdoor weddings and other gatherings. The Fortuna Monday Club is used by community, clubs, and private gatherings.
If you would like to fulfill needs of the FGC to help continue their work throughout the year in the community, contact co-presidents Bev Ward at 725-6757 or Mary Lou Lange at 725-3446. The FGC is always looking for support to help maintain the main street gardens and annual events.

The yard of the Fortuna Monday Club received a gift of manicure from the Fortuna Garden Club in the form of a hardscaped path, arbor, and metal detailing. The club hopes to further its upgrade with some plant landscaping in the near future.
