The rain isn't expected to last long.

While the National Weather Service (NWS) expected some showers Sunday night, the organization's meteorologists forecast some sunshine the rest of the week.

But with the sun will come the wind.

Humboldt Bay Area can expect to see mostly sunny skies Monday and Tuesday with wind gusts as high as 24 miles per hour.

A relatively low chance of rain is predicted by the NWS on Thursday before giving way to another set of mostly sunny forecasts.
