The 13th Annual River Lodge Bridal Faire deadline is fast approaching. River Lodge will cut off booth applications on Friday, Oct. 11. Those wishing to obtain a vendor booth at the event will need to call the River Lodge at 725-7572, email Debbie Reynolds at dreynolds@ci.fortuna.ca.us, or visit www.friendlyfortuna.com/index.aspx?nid=389.

The event will take place on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2014.

”This is the event of the year,” Reynolds said, calling it a one-stop shop for couples.

”We have invited gift registries, photographers, venues, rental shops, florists, caterers, bakeries, coordinators, travel, formal wear, beauty, and more,” Reynolds said. There will be drawings for participants and brides with prizes to be announced closer to the event.

Last year, several caterers provided a wide array of mouthwatering treats to tempt the brides to choose their talents. Along with appetizers, main dishes, and sides, caterers provided wedding cake examples as several bakers towered over their tables with a rainbow of cake options.

River Lodge is located at 1800 Riverwalk Drive in Fortuna. The cost of attendance is $10 and the event runs from 1-4 p.m.

Brides and loved ones come from all over the county to enjoy a day of planning for their special event. The deadline is Oct. 11 for vendors to secure a spot for their offerings to brides for that special day.
