Ferndale's own Food Network star, Guy Fieri, will be returning to Humboldt County in November to film an episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

The Fortuna Union High School and Ferndale High School Booster Clubs will be selling raffle tickets for a drawing to visit the set. Both clubs will benefit from the fundraiser as each side of the river will be sending two lucky winners.

If you would like to support the one or both of the Booster Clubs you can purchase tickets from that club and the ticket sales stay with the individual club. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased this weekend at the infamous Milk Can game held in Fortuna this year from either side of the field.

Ferndale Boosters have their tickets readily available throughout Ferndale and can be purchased at Becker Insurance, Lentz Department Store, Ferndale Pie Company, and at the Ferndale High School from Kim McConnell Hindley.

The Ferndale Booster Club does not have a Web page, but can be contacted on Facebook at “Ferndale Area Football Boosters.”

Fortuna boosters will keep tickets on hand and available at every home game prior to the event. They will be announcing Fortuna ticket locations as they become available.

The FUHS Booster Club is comprised of President David Reed, Vice President Lea Cahill, Shannon Lewis, Treasurer Cindi Lewis, Steve Ross, Carol Hill, Jack Hill, and Secretary Laurie Kepon. You can reach the board by email at huskiesfootballboosters@yahoo.com or visit their website at www.fortunafootball.com.

The drawing will be held on Nov. 15th or Nov. 16 and the event will take place on Nov. 25 or Nov. 26. The winning ticket will get you and a friend on the set with Fieri filming a local episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

At his last appearance in 2010 at the Ferndale Fair for a barbecue competition, Guy Fieri took time out to meet with childhood friends, fans, media, and fair goers.
