The Fortuna Junior Rodeo will be awarding six All-Around Champion Trophy saddles, 28 trophy buckles, along with awards for second and third place. The Junior Rodeo Roundup is a multi-event rodeo for kids 18 years and under where they are divided into three age groups. For more information on the Junior Rodeo, you can check out their Facebook Page or call Kris at 722-1988.

Proceeds will help to fund the sports programs at RPCS. The school will be serving students from kindergarten through seventh grade. Currently the school runs boys and girls basketball and track programs with an afterschool enrichment program for cheerleading.

Third grade RPCS teacher Kim Kendall credits a good sports program helps increase the kids' physical capabilities while encouraging team work, active lifestyles, and school spirit.

”We really enjoyed the unity in the kids and the school spirit while watching classmates play and the cheerleaders doing cheers in the morning of a game in front of the whole school,” Kendall said.

RPCS will begin its school year on Aug. 26 and can be reached at 682-6149 for more information.
