The Rio Dell Elementary School District recently announced that eight students have been honored through the national Student POWER Award program. Sponsored by the National Association of School Psychologists, the Student POWER Award program seeks to highlight those students who make an exceptional difference in their own lives by achieving personal goals, according to a press release.

The school psychologist in the district is participating in the Student POWER Award program as part of this week's National School Psychology Awareness Week. The following students are Student POWER Award recipients: Tristan Jones, third grade, Eagle Prairie Elementary School, Bowdrie (Bo) Cox, fourth grade, Eagle Prairie Elementary School, Vivian Osborne, fourth grade, Eagle Prairie Elementary School, Shane Zingaro, fifth grade, Eagle Prairie Elementary School, Bailey Parker, sixth grade, Monument Middle School, Zachary Claus, sixth grade, Monument Middle School, Kelsi Day, seventh grade, Monument Middle School, and Kyra Deveny, eighth grade, Monument Middle School. In addition to receiving a certificate from NASP, these students have been added to the national list of Student POWER Award recipients on the NASP website at www.nasponline.org/
