A patient at Redwood Memorial Hospital became despondent while being treated and attempted to strangle herself.
9:38 p.m.
An officer was flagged down by a citizen who reported seeing a man on Alamar and Riverwalk throwing dog feces at passing cars. Subject was advised on the matter.
Jan. 31
4:40 p.m.
A caller reported that two or more subjects jumped his fence on 14th Street, headed toward Fortuna High. An officer responded but was unable to locate anyone.
7:41 p.m.
A citizen called police to report that someone tried to run her over while she was crossing the street at Ray's Foods. The silver 4-door sedan was last seen turning right at the Newburg stop light. Then another 911 came in regarding the same driver at the Shell station.
10:43 p.m.
A Fortuna Police Officer responded to a call concerning a possible motorcycle incident at 7th and Main Streets. The report stated that a motorcycle had tipped over and both cycle and driver were down in the roadway. An officer determined that the driver of the motorcycle was alright and not in harms way.
8:09 p.m.
A woman called police to complain about receiving calls and texts from a man calling himself “Nasty.” The caller told police that she thinks the man may be a friend of her granddaughter.
Feb. 1
2:56 p.m.
At 14th and L Streets, a caller told police about seeing a suspicious subject peering into a white vehicle near the entrance of the football field at Fortuna High.
