On behalf of KMUD Redwood Community Radio, we would like to thank the following bands, businesses and individuals for a very successful, lively and enjoyable 2011 KMUD Battle of the Rock Bands: The incredible 25 bands who entered included 6 finalists: Orchestrate, Vena Sera, Triangle Eye, Crackbox (winner), Speed of Darkness (2nd place) and Ninabis (3rd place). The over-all judges included Sarah, Monica and their partners, the kitchen crew, Sanue, Claire, Joe for lights, Rob and Randy for engineering, Mateel Community Center for security, Fiona, Louie, Noelle and George for holding down the door (we know you were busy!), Eric for clean up, Simon and Dave for KMUD engineering, Terri for KMUD news, KMUD DJs for running the promo, all KMUD staff and volunteers, all locations for allowing us to put up fliers (especially HSU), all broadcast, print and Internet sources of media for their generous publicity, the many fans and family of alternative rock music who came out to the Battle in the cold to support local bands and KMUD radio, the fabulous businesses and folks who with their donations helped put the show on, Humboldt Hydroponics, Nacho Mama's, Redway Feed, Bluemoon Gift Shop, Fortuna Music Mart, The Little Shop of Hers, The Works, Les Scher, Herbert Konkoff, MD., Humboldt Healthy Foods, Bonzai Surf and Ski, Eureka Car Stereo, Shotz Coffee, Roberto's Humboldt Tees, Direct Effect Records, 2 Dye 4 Tye Dyes, Redway Liquors, Tsunami Surf and Sport, Emerald Technology, The Bootleg, Eric Kirk Attorney at Law, Madrone Reality, KSLG, FYE, Mateel Community Center, Timothy Pentecost, DDS, Redway Garden Supply, The Northcoast Co-op and Eureka Natural Foods.

Also many thanks go to three studios and engineers who graciously donated hours of recording time so we could offer fabulous prizes: Audio Evidence Mobil, Dragonfly Studios, Manova's Two Street Music and Bongo Boy Studios, Mark for helping with everything, DJ Secret Angel (aka Keena) for being a spectacular co-emcee and, and Lola, for putting on a great dance performance, and to anyone who's name we might have missed - this by no means indicates that your efforts were less important.

This has always been an exciting KMUD benefit in which we rely on our community to help make it a phenomenal show.
