Eel River Babe Ruth sign-ups coming up

Babe Ruth Baseball sign-ups for the Eel River valley are fast approaching. For ages 13 to 16, the cost is $80. All players must furnish a copy of their legal certified birth certificate. Sign-up dates will be held on the following dates and locations:

* Thursday, Feb. 4, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Recreation Building in the Fortuna Rohner Park.

* Saturday, Feb. 6, 10 to 2 p.m. at Fortuna Sport & Cycle.

* Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6 to 8 p.m. at Ferndale Town Hall.

* Wednesday, Feb.10, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rio Dell Fire Hall.

Last chance registration will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, and carries a late fee of $10. Registration will go from 10 to 2 p.m.at the Fortuna Sport & Cycle. For details, call Ron Brown, ERV president at 499-0534, or go online to: www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=ervbaberuth.

Missed Delivery

Humboldt Beacon subscribers in Humboldt County should receive their paper in the mail on Thursday. If you did not recieve your paper, we can either mail you a new one or credit your account. Crediting your account means that we extend your subscription for another week. Please call Al Daw at 707 441-0554 to have another paper mailed or your account credited.

Home delivery is an option for subscribers in the Eel River Valley (Loleta south to Scotia and Hwy 36 east to Carlotta). If you call before 10 a.m. on a weekday, a new paper can be delivered that same day. If you call after 10 a.m., it won't be delivered until the next business day.

Subscribers outside of Humboldt County who are having difficulty receiving their newspaper can e-mail to circulation@humboldtbeacon.com or call 707-441-0563.
