Jamie Hindley of Passion Flowers by Jamie Hindley in Ferndale, recently completed the class “Smart Everyday Design,” hosted by Teleflora at its state of the art education center in Oklahoma, City, Okla. Floral designers for all over the U.S. attend the seminar to sharpen their skills.

Hindley took part in four days of intensive hands-on design sessions, mastering the latest in creating designs with fresh flowers and foliage. Taught by a widely recognized floral artist and instructor, Susan Ayala of Loma Linda, Calif., the students focused on creating container and vase arrangements using the latest techniques.

Students also completed a series of floral assignments designed to give them insights in how to improve their design styles and increase productivity. Hindley received a certificate of completion from the Teleflora Education Center.
