An Advisory Council was recently formed by and for the Fortuna Senior Services. The first of its kind, the council assists the agency which is dedicated to seeing to the needs of seniors in the Eel River valley area.

The board of directors of the nonprofit, all-volunteer Fortuna Senior Services selected persons from the community to be on their Advisory Council at a special breakfast meeting last month.

Council members include, from left, back row: Bob Zigler, Nancy Gregory, Jeff Nelson, John Gromala, Dennis Scott, Jon Sapper and John Palotas. From the left, front row: Ray Dowdy, Hec Wood, Harriet Pecot, Clif Clendenen and Roy Frostensen. Not pictured are Don Brown, Becky Giacomini, Dr. Ron Jones, Pete Krueger, Travis Low and Pat Whitchurch.

Carol Kinser, FSS president, said, "We hope to be a benefit to these community members, as well as them aiding us in providing for the seniors in the Eel River Valley."
