Through the end of February, works by nature photograher Leon Porter will be on display at Ferndale Arts Gallery, located at 580 Main St. in Ferndale. Porter was born and raised in Humboldt County,and, over the past 15 years, he has combined formal training with countless hours in the field to develop a style that combines nature with special lighting and atmospheric conditions. Porter currently uses a Canon digital camera to capture color, texture, and the rugged beauty found in the scenery of the area.
