Jazz Festival coming soon; mark calendars for March 25 through 28

The Redwood Coast Jazz Festival is getting ready to launch another installment of fine shows in their 20th anniversary celebration of jazz, blues, and dixieland on the Northcoast.

Eureka is the home of this yearly festival, an event marked by four days of traditional Dixieland jazz, swing, calypso, zydeco and more, spread over several venues, with food, beverages and nonstop fun everywhere.

Festival headliners (subject to change) will include: Blue Street Jazz, Cornet Chop Suey, The Viper Six, The Commanders, Gator Beat, Incendio, The Midiri Brothers, High Street Band, Ivory & Gold, Stompy Jones, Titan Hot Seven, Tom Rigney & Flambeau, and Uptown Lowdown.

Ticket prices are as follows: $85 All-Event ticket for all 3-days starting Feb. 1; $25 Student All-Event ticket for all three days (ages 13-25); $35 Friday-Only ticket; $45 Saturday-Only ticket; $25 Saturday Night Dance at the Muni ticket; $25 Sunday-Only ticket; and $25 for Eureka Theater-Only ticket.

Home delivery is an option for subscribers in the Eel River Valley (Loleta south to Scotia and Hwy 36 east to Carlotta). If you call before 10 a.m. on a weekday, a new paper can be delivered that same day. If you call after 10 a.m., it won't be delivered until the next business day.
