The annual Fortuna Chilli Cookoff has been set for Monday, July 11. Sponsored by the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, the Cookoff offers a number of tropies for people who like to make fine chilli from scratch. So get out your pots and pans and chili peppers - it's chili cookin' time.

The Chamber needs your entry forms with fee no later than noon by on Thursday, July 7, at the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, 735 14th Street, Fortuna, CA 95540. For details, call phone 725-3959. The fee to enter is $60 per team and includes spoons, bowls, and napkins for public tasting.
