Musicians include Allan Lesser-violin, Franklin Stover-clarinet, Jimmy Durchslag-trombone, and Dana Christen-piano. The Pastimers will provide a dramatically charged musical backdrop for Keaton's classic, made in the midst of the jazz age. Franklin Stover compiled authentic period music for each scene and created a score for this unique instrumental combination.
The Pastimers last regaled the Concert Series audience in May of 2009, and for the past few years, they have performed at the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival in Eureka.
Tickets are available at Green's Fortuna Pharmacy (Fortuna), Fortuna Music Mart (Fortuna and Eureka), Becker's Insurance (Ferndale), Berliner's Cornucopia (Eureka) and at the door. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. For details, call 682-6092.
