The Rio Dell-Scotia Chamber of Commerce is seeking volunteers on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its inaugural Eel River Cleanup. There will be a check-in station on the south side of Rio Dell at the end of Edwards Drive at the river access. Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate clothing, including waterproof boots or sturdy shoes, layered clothes and work gloves, and are encouraged to bring shovels or grabbers to collect trash. The chamber will be hosting a lunch for volunteers at noon and holding a drawing for prizes at the end of the cleanup. For more information, call Monica at 707-506-5081.
