Beginning Thursday, the Eel River Valley Site of the Humboldt Community Breast Health Project will have new drop-in hours at its location at 1719 Main St. (the Fortuna Visiting Angels office). Volunteers will now be there every Thursday from 3-7 p.m. The site features a lending library and other materials for women with breast or gynecologic cancer concerns. The Fortuna support group for women who have been diagnosed with one of these cancers continues to meet on the first Tuesday of each month, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the same location.
Anyone seeking more information may contact the Breast Health Project at 825-8345 or Eel River Valley volunteer Wanda Rigby at 768-1925.
