Timeout Sports Pub and Wine Bar in Fortuna recently held their official Fortuna Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting to kick off their grand opening and prepare for upcoming events.

Timeout opened in October with a soft opening by owners Keith and Becky Coulombe, Allan and Cricket Baird, and Randall Stone.

With football season coming to a close, Timeout's owners wanted to do something special for the community to celebrate the Super Bowl.

"We are setting up a barbecue wagon out front for a true tailgate event," Keith Coulombe said. "You don't want to miss this!"

The party will have a trailered smoker with Chef James at the grill.

"There will be ribs and burgers at 2 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to get here early to get a spot and enjoy some great food," Keith Coulombe said.

There are 8 LED 50" TVs, a conference room with a TV that can be rented, and a separate "End Zone Bar" with a 70" TV. The walls are lined with local sports team memorabilia including a goal post from the Fortuna Huskies.

"We have a great assortment of wine, beer, and specialty drinks. Happy hour will flow through the Super Bowl with a drawing for a Bud Light Super Bowl flag. We will also have our regular menu of Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Nachos, Sliders, Chili, and Wings," said Coulombe.

Lisa Hummel of the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce said, "There was a great group of people at the ribbon cutting."

Shaun Roberts said, "Great fights and I love all the flat screens and layout, had a blast. Definitely be back."

Timeout will be open from 3-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. They are located at 1095 South Fortuna Blvd. For more information, call Timeout at 725-9100.
