Going to bat for Scotia kids

On Dec. 11, 2013, Scotia School music teacher Dana Christen attended the Step Up to the Plate for Education grant award breakfast at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Scotia School's music program was awarded a $5,000 grant to purchase musical instruments and supplies. San Francisco Giant's shortstop Brandon Crawford was at the award ceremony and took pictures with all the grant award recipients. Each year, Bay Area radio station KNBR partners with Wells Fargo Bank and the San Francisco Giants to provide $100,000 in education grants to 25 Bay Area and northern California schools to support athletics and the arts in school programming. The checks ranged from $1,000 to $5,000.
