Third billboard cut down near Bayside Cutoff on US Highway 101

A call to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office confirmed that authorities were notified of a billboard cut down Monday morning, alongside southbound U.S. Highway 101 near the Bayside Cutoff between Arcata and Eureka -- and that there is security footage of an unidentified male suspect using a battery-operated saw to complete the act. Damage was estimated at $20,000.

This is the third billboard reported cut down in Humboldt County within the last month. The sheriff's office confirmed Monday that the incidents are being treated as felony vandalism.
