Ferndale High School fullback Ike Townsend runs through Argonaut High School would-be tacklers Tyler Love and Emilio Pineda and busts into the open field on his way to a 70-yard touchdown run in the Sept. 28 non-conference matchup in the Cream City. The Wildcats got back to their winning ways with a thrilling 21-20 victory over the visiting Mustangs. The win avenged Ferndale's loss to Argonaut last season and gave the Cats important momentum heading into league play. The Cats host St. Bernard's on Saturday.

The Huskies won the home game against the Panthers by a final score of 6-0 and recently had a five-game winning streak snapped by a 1-1 tie at the Eureka Loggers. Still, the Lady Huskies are sitting pretty with a 6-1-1 league record coming into the week.
