All-Stars make it to state

The Eel River Little League All-Stars were crowned Section 2 Champions in the 10-11 year old division on July 17 in Marysville. A 17-7 win over Sutter Buttes earned the team the title. Merek Sears was the winning pitcher in the game. The Eel River bats came alive in the finale as Daeden Taylor led off the game with a home run and went 3/3. Orlando Johnson also batted 3/3. Sears batted 2/3 with 6 RBIs, Landon Gomes went 2/4 and Nolan O'Kelly hit 1/3 with 2 RBIs. With the win, the team moved on to the Little League State Championships with coach Jesse Franks for the second year in a row, where the team fell to Briarwood and Danville.
