A special story time event including a midnight feast is planned for Saturday at the Rio Dell Library. The story time event will begin at 3 p.m.

"Children attending may bring a stuffed animal, and after story time, tuck the toys in for an overnight at the library including a midnight meal," said Rio Dell Librarian Katrina Ehrnman. "Library staff will take photographs of the stuffed animals and their feast and provide them to the children at a later date."

This activity is included as part of the 2013 Summer Reading Club at the Rio Dell Library. Also included in the Reading Club is a Book Raver's meeting on July 20 at 4 p.m. The book being discussed will be "How to Be an American Housewife" and the meeting is open to all interested parties, whether or not they've read the book.

The final July event at the Rio Dell Library is the second teen night, with a theme of Cooking Show Showdown. Participating teens are asked to bring copies of recipes from a favorite show to swap. A favorite show and recipe will be selected and the winning recipe will receive a prize.
