Fortuna woman to participate in 300-mile bike ride

Fortuna woman Margaret Campbell will join Redmond, Wash., Rotary on a 300-mile charitable ride to raise more than $100,000. The ride will take her from Seattle to Spokane. There are approximately 150 riders, all who had to raise funds in order to participate. 100 percent of the money raised will go to the charities supported by Redmond Rotary. The ride will begin on July 17 and last five days. The two charities that will benefit are Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center -- which works to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapies -- and Hopelink, which serves homeless and low income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities.
