Jitter Bean Coffee Company is honoring Families Advocating Autism Now on Saturday as part of it "Super Hero" program, which began in 2005.

The idea of the program is to highlight and support organizations or individual by designating a Super Hero Day, then Jitter Bean donates a portion of company sales to that particular individual or charitable organization.

FAAN believes that "children with autism are capable of extraordinary things, with the right tools and education in place, we can change the future for these beautiful kids."

"We want to raise awareness and support for the education system in serving children with Autism," the nonprofit group's mission statement reads.

"We are honored to be a business in Humboldt County because this area has a reputation for being a community of caring citizens who reach out to their neighbors," a Jitter Bean spokesperson said.

Customers who visit any Jitter Bean location on Saturday will help support FAAN.
