Lemonade Day is inviting local youth and their families to attend a community workshop on Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Multigenerational Center in Fortuna.
This free event is open to families with children ages 6 to 16 and provides an opportunity for youth to register for Lemonade Day and make promotional signs for their lemonade business. Champions for Change, a Network for a Healthy California, is providing supplies that will allow youth to create healthy lemonade recipes.
Representatives from US Bank will also be available to help teach participants how to make a budget and a profit with their lemonade stand and past participants will share stories about their experiences.
Lemonade Day will be on Saturday, June 1, and offers aspiring young entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand. Call 725-1722 to reserve a spot at the workshop and visit www.humboldt.lemonadeday.org for more information about Lemonade Day.
Lemonade Day is a joint project of Arcata Economic Development Corporation and Decade of Difference.
