Abandoned dog needs permanent home

A beautiful male dog was abandoned in Arcata and is now in a local foster home where he's enjoying life with the resident humans and two other dogs.

Named Aslan, he has shown us that he's a happy boy who loves to play with other dogs. He weighs about 100 pounds, is covered in a luxurious furry golden coat and is between two and four years old. His heritage suggests a shepherding type; he strongly resembles a Leonberger.

Aslan needs a family who wants a big fuzzy happy smart boy to share their lives. He's OK with kids of all ages but his size makes him best with older kids as he has no idea how big and strong he is. Aslan loves to chase cats so we advise a home with no cats or other small animals he can get to.

Aslan is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is adoptable through It's A Dog's Life Rescue.

If you think Aslan might be a pooch you'd like to share your life with, phone Jean at 707-839-3148 or email jeand1958@sbcglobal.net.
