The River Lodge in Fortuna was filled with creative spaces as they kicked off their 11th annual Holiday Craft Faire this past weekend. The two-day event draws several hundred people and provides a great opportunity to kick off holiday shopping.

The booths were filled with handmade crafts and fine art by exhibitors who paid $150 for a 10 x 10 booth for the two days. The event has become such a high traffic event there is often a draw for the limited booth availability.

The event does not feature imported products, but rather locally made hand crafted treasures. Consumers who made the visit to the Riverlodge were treated to handmade soaps, photography, jewelry, ornaments, aprons, scarves, hats, Christmas wreaths, glass art, and much more. No two booths were alike and the shopping possibilities were endless. The variety was wonderful and accommodated the rarest of tastes.

Riverlodge set up a café court that served homemade scones, soups, and coffee. With holiday music filling your ears and the sweet smell of specialty crafts visitors were sure to leave in the holiday spirit.
