The Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 1 will hold a drive-through tri-tip dinner on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Company 1 invites the public to enjoy a no hassle dinner by buying tickets to their drive-through dinner which includes tri-tip, salad, baked potato and a roll.

Tickets are $12 or 4 tickets for $40 for a mouth-watering meal that will provide the opportunity to snuggle up around the house and enjoy some freed up family time.

The FVFD covers an approximately 26-square-mile area and serves the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year, rain or shine. As it has often been said by fire departments, military and emergency responders, "When others are running away from danger, we are running toward it." Not because they have to, but rather because they have volunteered to do so to protect the community they love.

Year after year, new volunteers are sworn in and dedicate their lives to the safety and well being of the community. Pictured are those 2012 dedicated firemen and fire women.
