As Friday creeps up on the community, Fortuna First Friday is stacking up the entertainment in the form of multiple artists, local businesses, and lots of great music. The work of the Downtown Merchant Association and the Fortuna Business Improvement District has paid off for the Sept. 7 event.

The event is a product of Main Street Art Gallery owner Chuck Bowden, who began an open night art showing in the beginning of 2012. With the support of the other businesses, it has become a "First Friday" art event throughout the year.
