”This is a great opportunity for our organization to collaborate with the city and (Eagle Prairie) Arts District to the benefit of local artisans and the community as a whole,” said Rio Dell-Scotia Chamber of Commerce representative Nick Angeloff.
The Eagle Prairie Arts District will host a ceremony when the art is installed. The first chosen art pieces will be on display for a one-year period, during which time selected artists are welcome to solicit their work for sale. A plaque will be placed on each piece, with the artists name and name of sponsor.
It is hoped to have the art installed by June.
All interested parties should contact the Eagle Prairie Arts District (406 Wildwood Ave.), the city of Rio Dell (764-3532), or Monica at the Rio Dell-Scotia Chamber of Commerce (506-5081).
Rio Dell regularly showcases local artist with Arts on the Avenue, which takes place on the second Saturday of every month. Local businesses stay open later and there is live music and barbecued food available for purchase.

Art sculptures will eventually sit on two foundations which have been installed in the downtown medians in Rio Dell.
