Police arrested a 59-year-old Michigan women in connection with dismembered body parts found in trash bags along a rural road, believed to be the remains of a missing 32-year-old man.

Police initially responded to the scene after a witness saw a middle-aged white woman dumping what she thought was garbage along the side of the road in China and St. Clair townships, about 50 miles northeast of Detroit. When police responded, they found dismembered human remains along the side of the road and also in trash bags.

St. Clair Shores Police, a town about 17 miles north of Detroit, arrested the woman after county sheriffs released surveillance footage of her in a gas station. The woman in custody was arrested Friday, and hasn't been formally charged with a crime, and hasn't been named by police. The incident is being treated as a homicide.

The victim, a St. Clair Shores resident who also wasn't named as of Saturday night, was identified through his fingerprints, according to the Associated Press.
