The Redwood Memorial Foundation will be holding their largest fundraiser of the year on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the River Lodge in Fortuna. Tickets are now available for this “Evening in Paris” themed event, the 32nd annual Benefit Ball.
The annual gala brings several hundred community members and hospital supporters together for a themed night of dinner, dancing, and fundraising. Tickets for the annual ball sell out quickly so those interested in attending should get their tickets soon.
Courtney Hunt-Munther of the Foundation said the Benefit Ball is organized by a committee of the Redwood Memorial Foundation, which donates the event proceeds to the hospital's area of greatest need.
”Over the years, Benefit Ball proceeds have been used to purchase new medical equipment for the hospital, including a fetal monitoring system, 4-D ultrasound, digital mobile imaging system, operating room video equipment, 32-slice CT scanner, digital mammography equipment and endoscopy equipment,” she said.
This year, Hunt-Munther said, proceeds from the Benefit Ball will go toward the renovation of the hospital's radiology room and the purchase of state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment.
”The Benefit Ball is a wonderful opportunity for the community to get together to support Redwood Memorial Hospital,” said event co-chairman David Somerville.
Co-chair Becky Giacomini said the new equipment is an important advancement for the hospital.
”And we are asking the community to help fund it by joining us for this fun event,” she said.
Redwood Memorial Hospital provides services to patients throughout the Eel River Valley and beyond.
”The community's continued support of Redwood Memorial Hospital is a significant factor in the hospital's ability to provide high-quality medical care to the community,” Hunt-Munther said
