Fortuna will be singing their way into the season with their 36th annual Christmas Music Festival. Choirs, orchestras, and a wide array of talent will fill the River Lodge on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

The All Seasons Orchestra kicks off this year's festival at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Humboldt Harmonaires at 1:15 p.m. The Scotia Band will perform at 2:15 p.m. with the Ferndale Community Choir at 3 p.m. The College of the Redwoods Concert Band will play at 4 p.m., Tuba Christmas at 4:30 p.m., Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Choir at 5 p.m., Fortuna High School Music Department at 5:30 p.m., and the grand finale at 6 p.m.

The grand finale is a sing-along with the audience featuring “Silent Night” and the “Hallelujah” chorus. The lyrics will be on the program.

The Christmas Festival is free to everyone. There will be several charitable groups on hand accepting cash donations, toys for the Santa's Sleigh Service, and non-perishable food items for the St. Joseph's Pantry Shelf Fortuna Holiday Food Drive.

Fortuna River Lodge is located on Riverwalk Drive on the west side of Highway 101. Overflow parking is available behind the Best Western Country Inn on Alomar Way or in the River Steak House parking lot.
