The Fortuna Dutch Oven Society made a small but strong appearance at the Fortuna Apple Harvest recently showing off their unique style.

Larry and Ruth Dekat created a “40 Miler Stew” and “No Stir Stew Potatoes” with pumpkin bread and apple galette. Geri and Dale Blake whipped up some apple pineapple bread and chicken and rice with vegetables. Ben and Jamie Cohoon created a spicy Moroccan barley lamb dish that raised many eyebrows.

Joanie Hartman of FDOS shared, “You will experience some of the best food cooked in cast iron cookware.” The FDOS shares, “We are a group of folks who enjoy cooking outdoors. We meet at local parks, campgrounds, and special events to cook.”
