Our family wants to express thanks and gratitude to the many wonderful people of this community for their unwavering support of us as the search for our father and husband took place. Our community friends and extended family tirelessly searched the wilderness area of the Yolla Bolly every day beginning at day light and not stopping until dark. They risked their own safety and well-being to eventually find our father-husband. Words can't describe our appreciation for the help this community has given to our family. We don't have our father-husband anymore, but we have some closure.
There will be a service on Oct. 29, at 11 a.m., at the Hydesville Church, with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joe Quen Memorial Fund at Coast Central Credit Union, account No. 175666. Please sign the guest book at www.times-standard.com, and click on obits.
