7:08 a.m.
An officer responded to Rohnerville Road concerning a 17 year old having a seizure. The officer assisted as needed until the ambulance arrived. The subject was transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital.
10:26 a.m.
An employee at Safeway reported a customer's car had been stolen. The car had been apparently left running while its owner went in to the store. The vehicle contained a shotgun and is described as a gray Toyota Corolla with a dent on the left side door. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
6:54 p.m.
A caller on Jenny Lane told police that her medications and a knife had been stolen from her purse. Later on, she told police that her husband was under the influence and out of control, he took her items after breaking the windshield of her car. Officers located and arrested John Lyman, taking him first to Redwood Memorial Hospital for clearance and then to the Humboldt County Jail.
Oct. 15
11:25 a.m.
Animal Control responded to the area of Redway Way concerning a loose cow in the road. Initially they were unable to corral the animal back to its home.
9:39 p.m.
A citizen reported seeing a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed running stop signs in driving through a parking lot. An officer responded but was unable to locate the driver.
Oct. 16
12:39 p.m.
A Fortuna Police Officer responded to a call concerning a reckless driver in a black Lincoln driving erratically and throwing objects at other vehicles. Officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate the car.
3:11 p.m.
A county sheriff responded to Rohnerville Road on the report of a dog running loose and barking at people. The sheriff contacted residents, advised them on leash laws, and issued a warning notice.
5:39 p.m.
A citizen called police to report that her Chevy had been taken from a Fortuna Boulevard location. An officer patrolled the area and found the vehicle parked near Loni Drive. The caller stated that she had forgotten she parked it there.
Oct. 20
2:17 p.m.
On Hilltop Drive, a pit bull reportedly jumped a back fence and started a fight with another dog. A Fortuna Police Officer responded and let the aggressing dog out while contacting Animal Control.
2:25 p.m.
The Comfort Inn and Suites on Riverwalk called to report that a guest had walked out of his room screaming for unknown reasons. An officer responded and the subject left on the advice of management.
