An employee with Safeway called about seeing a group of subjects driving a Dodge sedan, possibly under the influence. An officer responded but was unable to locate anyone.

A citizen came to the police station with a miniature dachshund found on 16th Street. The dog was taken to the holding pens.
11:54 a.m.
A Fortuna Police Officer removed a washer machine from a narrow dirt portion of Nelson Lane.

10:27 a.m.
A Fortuna Police Officer took a report on a reckless driver behind the wheel of a Toyota 4 Runner in the area of Hillras and Rohnerville Road.

2:45 p.m.
A citizen called police concerning seeing several people selling magazines in town without a permit. An officer responded and patrolled the area.
10:03 p.m.
A resident called police to say that a group of juvenilles broke a window in the bus terminal on N Street.

7:08 p.m.
A citizen called about seeing a loose chihuahua running in the roadway around the high school. An officer patrolled the area but was unable to find the pooch.
8:35 p.m.
A Fortuna Police Officer responded to the area of 12th Street and Highway 101 concerning juveniles running in and out of traffic. The officer advised the juveniles on their behavior.
9:16 p.m.
A resident on Jenny Lane called police about an upstairs neighbor stomping
11:50 p.m.
A caller told police he had shot a large rabid possum in his front yard and was concerned that the possum might attack his dog. He was advised on discharging a firearm in city limits.
11:56 p.m.
A citizen came to the police station to report that his car was taken from a 12th and J Street location. However, an officer believed he saw the vehicle parked on Wood Street, but the car is now gone. An investigation is pending.
June 22
8:30 a.m.
Animal Control responded to a report of a deceased squirrel on Rohnerville Road. It was transported for proper disposal.
