'Scar Tissue Mystery' at Mad River Festival

Humboldt Beacon

Dams, rivers, Indian gill netters, water, and the future of California play out in this comic noir thriller on the banks of the Klamath River. Scar Tissue, Eureka's only lady private detective takes on her most difficult case. A case that almost made her give up fishing, and one that proved that "love was for suckers.”

First performed in Perrigot Park in Blue Lake in 1979, this was a seminal work of the Dell'Arte Company. Now, 30 years later, dams are still front page news and the drought has turned the thirsty eyes of the southland towards the north coast once again. Don't miss a next generation cast of the Dell'Arte Company, trained at our international training program, as they rocket this ground breaking "theatre of place" work into the next millennium.

The cast includes Shannon MacMillan, Brian Moore, Andrew Pheonix, Kate Braidwood and Tyler Olsen. Directed by Michael Fields.

Show dates are: June 25, 26, 27, 28, and July 2-5, and 9-12 at 8 p.m. in Dell'Arte's Rooney Amphitheatre. Tickets: $15 adult/$12 , Seniors and under 12: $5.
